Canning

The girls loved making the jam so much....we decided to go to the farmers market and get tomatoes, to make chili sauce....AND pears to make pear jam. I don't know what got into me to allow a whole weekend of canning. But the girls had so much fun...and they did so much of the work. Their favorite part was blanching and peeling the pears and tomatoes. They were such hard workers, and we had such a good time...it was worth messing up the kitchen and a great fall weekend!
