It's getting hot hot hot!

Well it feels like summer in sunny California! We just went through a little heat wave. The weather has been so nice lately. So, we have started going back to the beach, started up swimming lessons, and busted out the baby pool. Hey wasn't it snowing in Utah just a bit ago? :)

Dance!

Here is the girls in their dance classes...these are the dances they are working on for recital. I didn't get Izzie's ballet class...but she is a regular little "fly girl" in her jazz and hip hop classes. They are both too cute...so I thought I would show their works in progress, I will post the final show in mid-june.

Alexandra's 5th Birthday Party Weekend!

Day 1

Allie's birthday is on a Sunday this year. I was going to throw a big party, but I decided to postpone it for her kindergarten birthday. So, she decided she wanted to go to Disneyland. Ben has next week off, so we are going to go then, but then I had to do something for her actual birthday. So, her cousins came up on Saturday for Day 1 of the festivities. We went to In'n'out and then to the "Monsters vs Aliens" 3D movie at the Americana. They played at the playground and watched the fountain shows The kids alway have so much fun together, they get along so well. We headed home for cupcakes and ice cream and the opening of some presents. Nani and papa got her a huge mushroom playhouse, so the kids ended up in that for the rest of the night.
Day 2

Allie's actual birthday. She got to pick out her outfit for church..a huge petticoat with flowers in her hair. She loved to be sung to and brought cupcakes for her class. We had a little party with the Uncle Jon and her "friends" next door. They are all in their late twenties...but Allie totally thinks of them as her equals. She had the most awesome princess cake! She loved it.
Day 3

We had her preschool party after preschool. I forgot how yummy rainbow chip frosting is....yum!
Day 4
Disneyland! Allie and Ben went to Disney all by themselves for the first half of the day...it was a super fun Daddy Daughter Date. We met up with them at lunch. Allie got to choose all of the rides. So, she rode the wild river ride 3 times, thunder mountain 2 times, splash mountain, and the Tower of Terror 5 times! For those of you that don't know, the tower of terror is an elevator ride that drops you from the top of the building to the bottom over and over again. It is Allie's absolute favorite ride. She call it the "Up and down elegator (elevator)". I went with her on her 4th trip down the stomach dropping ride. It is supposed to be spooky and haunted and there is a creepy bell hop that tells you to put your seat belt on. Allie was so excited, she threw both hands up in the air (like when you ride a roller coaster) and let out a squeal. Every one looked over and the bell hop asked what she was so excited for. She couldn't even talk, she just giggled and squealed some more. I explained to everyone that it was her 4th time today and everyone laughed cause she was so giddy. Her 5th time she went with her dad.. and got the same guy. He asked where her mom was and if she was wearing deodorant this time. She probably gave this poor little 9 year old boy a complex. He had waited in line the whole time till it was time to get on and he was too scared. His mom and dad kept pointing at the girls and tuanting him that little girls were going on it and he was too scared and that he was being a baby. I felt so bad because Allie was jumping up and down almost peeing her pants because she was so excited.
