Pajama Princesses

We had a girly girly day today. We went to Glitter Box (a very girly boutique with clothes, jewelry, karaoke, and a salon) for updo's and tons of glitter. The girl's picked out pretty princess pajamas. The little penoir set is so very girly. Paired with their giant cocktail rings, the look was complete. We spent the evening twirling in the front room. Every girl needs a day like this every once in a while.

On the Beach

On the way home from Disneyland we had to stop by TK Burger. I had been craving it my whole pregnancy, and I wasn't about to pass it up. Plus it is right on the beach in Huntington.

We let the girls play on the beach for a while. They really wanted to get in, but it was too cold. Isabelle wanted to move to a beach house next. I only wish! They were so cute on the beach. They collected shells and chased the seagulls. I love that they loved it so much. There is such peaceful feeling on the beach when no one is there. Watching my little family in the sand,my heart was full. We had so much fun that weekend. It really was our first vacation with just our little family. I am so lucky to have such beautiful girls and such a fantastic husband. I can't wait to meet the newest little Karren.

As we were driving we just happened to pass the Newport temple. We hadn't had chance to see it yet. So, we stopped to take a look. It is really a gorgeous temple. It was a perfect end to the day.

Disneyland

We went on a two day Disney trip during Izzie's fall break. They have been before, but they were a little older this time and appreciated it more. I was feeling very ambitious to take on a 2 day trip to Disneyland 30 weeks pregnant. I did ok besides the swelling. My feet were huge and even my lips were swollen. Seriously never doing collagen injections, it wasn't pretty. Anyway we had a great time.

The girls hit all of the classic rides a few times.

Ben took Izzie on all of the big rides this year. Both of the girls are thrill seekers. But before this trip, the best Izzie could get was daddy going really fast over the bumps down Potomac. She felt really cool hanging out with daddy and had a blast! Allie took mommy on the Winnie the Pooh ride a hundred times and felt like the luckiest girl in the world!

A new experience at Disneyland was the Princess Faire. The girls made their own crowns. Then the princesses appeared for a wonderful show full of audience participation. The girls learned how to be true princesses, a princess wave, a princess dance. Then the princesses joined them on the maypoles. This time next year we will have to make the star wars show as well for baby boy!

A highlight of the trip was the Princess dinner at Ariel's Grotto. We dined on hotdogs cut into octopus shapes and a side of mac and chees topped with gold fish. Followed by decadent desserts. But who could possibly eat with such anticipation of which princess would enter the room next. They made their way around the room to each table. The girls were star struck to say the least.

Sing with me!

Alexandra started a new little favorite way to pass the time. It didn't take Izzie long to catch on. They love to lay on my counter and sing under the undercabinet CD player. The favorite CD choice as of late is the mixed Disney songs. The remakes that are more upbeat modern versions of the songs are te favorites. Zip-a-dee-do-da comes in first!

Down on the Farm

We took the girls to Schnepf Farms this weekend. It was a perfect picture opportunity and of course I forgot my camera. So, the camera phone will have to do. It was a really fun day full of carnival rides, petting zoos, pony rides, and yummy food. The girls looked adorable I have to say. Izzie was a bit dissappointed with the petting zoo because she said it was stinky. It was so fun to have Ben and to just be together with no other responsibilities for a whole day.
