Easter Lesson
Ben and I teach the CTR 4 class in the junior primary. So, we were in charge of the Easter lesson and the Easter egg hunt at church. My cute Allie is in CTR5 so we had her with us. It was the week before Easter because of conference. The week after Easter...our ward has their Easter program, Izzie is singing. So, it is like a month of Easter!

Kindergarten Class of 2010
Allie's Kindergarten class replaced the large tree in the front of the school that had been blown down in a storm. The 5 and 6 year olds were so proud to contribute...they each threw on some dirt...it was the start of a great day for Allie...she was busy bee (the class helper), I did fantastic Friday (see next post), and they celebrated her birthday in class, and it was the last day before spring break...she was a happy girl.
Rainbow Harbor
There were hundreds of dolphins playing and jumping around the boat...
They caught a bunch of sea life for the kids to touch and observe and then threw it back in...
She saw the Queen Mary...

Kindergarten Play...with designs by Allie's mom
That's right you read that right... I don't know how it happened exactly, it was all a blur. I was feeling guilty for not being in Allie's class as a helper lately...we were late that day and I had to take her in to drama. So, I offered to Miss Morris (the kindergarten teacher) to make the other duck costumes while I made Allie's. The drama teacher jumped down from the stage and was so excited I was helping with costumes. I felt so happy I had offered, until she proceeded to list off the 22 costumes that needed to be made, oh and can you have them done in a week...great. I was in shock, so I just nodded and smiled. It wouldn't have even been that bad, but Oliver got the call that he got the Huggies commercial, so there went Wednesday and Thursday. I started late Friday night, then Saturday, I had the afternoon. We got them all done by 5, and were showered and dressed in time for "Fiddler on the Roof" that evening. Thanks to Ben, my creative assistant, and the girls, my sizing models. (Yes, half of the class is Izzie's size) But I think they turned out pretty good...The drama teacher suggested that I do this more often....um, no. Allie was very proud, a sewing mom is very rare here in LA. I actually was asked several times if I was a costume designer. Nope...just a personal stylist, maid, cook, and driver for 3 little ones, not quite as glamorous :)
This is Allies big acting debut...one of the "Ducks" in "The Farmer Lost his Hat"...they all just had one little line, but they were sure cute with their feather bums...
