Saying Goodbye to California

Farewell California...
We made a list of all the things we had to do in California before we left...of course we went to the beach...and TK Burger YUM! And so much more...We went to Disneyland a bunch of times right before we left...our goal was to burn the kids out on Disneyland forever...it didn't work :)

Isabelle and I stayed late to shop for summer clothes and Ben picked up the little ones. I love this pic I caught of her that night by the fountain! I will miss the Americana :)

Allie Kindergarten Graduation 2010

Alexandra graduated Kindergarten!
Miss Missy Morris (isn't that the perfect kindergarten teacher name?) was the best kindergarten teacher we could have hoped for. Alexandra adored her and had an amazing first year of school at Ivanhoe.

Allie's little friends from school...her and Miss V (the one right below) had a hard time saying goodbye...

Her flowers...she wanted a picture of just them...
The cute little songs they had ready for us the last day of school...Allie loved the rock star part:)

Alice in Wonderland

Alexandra and Isabelle were just in their school production of Alice in Wonderland. Isabelle was "small" Alice. And Alexandra was the 2 of hearts :) Here is a preview...and I will post video clips as soon as I get them.
Isabelle had several scenes as "small Alice". She played Alice when she drank the drink me bottle and shrank down. So, she was Alice half of the play. Her scenes were:
-Down the Rabbit Hole
-The Caucus Race
-The Garden Scene
-The Caterpillar Scene
-The end trial with the Queen of Hearts
Alexandra's big singing number "Painting the Roses Red". She had a few little lines and did such a great job! She was so excited to be on the Queen of Hearts team. She has always had a thing for the villains :)
This was the ending number...Isabelle was loving it and Alexandra made sure she stuck her little head out (look to the left of big Alice)
Isabelle found she loved the spotlight...she stuck her head back out of the curtain to blow kisses to the audience :)

International Day

If you have followed my blog, you know how much I LOVE Ivanhoe Elementary International Day! This year Alexandra's class focused on North America. They split the kindergartens into 2 groups, but Alexandra got to do both dances since a little girl moved before the performance. She was especially excited to sport her new silver boots...yeehaw!

Isabelle's grade focused on Asia. Their dance was "Jai Ho" from Slumdog Millionare. The mom that taught them choreography was one of the choreographers on the actual film. I love that they get to have exposure to the whole world in one little school. Isabelle announced the dance (1st video) and the second video is the dance. There is a little girl that you can't see on camera at the beginning reaching for the boy...star crossed lovers in the third grade :)

If you want to be invited...

I am going to make my blog a private blog. With recent events after Oliver's commercial release, I feel that in order to protect my kids from creeps, I need to make my blog private again. I love all of you reading our blog and keeping up with our kiddos busy lives, and would love all of our friends and family to keep reading. But I need know you want to be on the invite list. So, leave a comment and I will add you to the list. Thanks!
